Abigail had her first cold which she gave to mom and mom has been having a rough go of it for sure. This has been the worst cold I have had in years. So much so that I even took myself to the doctor, which is a rare occurance for me. Hopefully tho we are all on the mend and will be feeling 100% soon.
Abby has really found her fists as of late. She will chew on them for quite some time and if she is lucky, which she usually is, she manages to find a bit of shirt, bib or sweater to stick in there too. She has recently discovered that she is in control of her feet. She hasn't quite mastered grabbing them yet but it is just around the corner for sure.
We recently took a step up in the bath time department and we are now using the bathtub without the sling to hold us in. The first time we set her in the "deep" water I thought her eyes were gonna pop out of her head. It was certainly a new experience for her and she wasn't quite sure what to think of it. Mom is pleased that bath time continues to be a breeze and can't wait until we can break out some of our bath time toys! We have a TON!
I know it is extremely early but I think we are starting to show some signs of teething. We have not seen any teeth pop on through yet but we have started drooling more, being quite a bit more fussy at times, chewing on anything she can get in her mouth including things mom would really prefer we didn't "chew" on, no longer are we sleeping through the night, and we have been quite the picky eater as of late. So our best guess is we may have started this process a little early.
Abby is really working on her leg muscles! She loves to stand up with a little help from whoever is holding her. She certainly prefers to be sitting up and watching what's going on around her. Dad has just discovered that she does a pretty good job at helping to pull herself up to sit up if give her a little help. So while mom has been writing the baby blog, dad and abby have been working on their sit ups!
Uncle Ricky "Bubba" continues to work on Abby's first word, which he of course thinks should be "Bubba." He's convinced that whatever her first word is will sound close enough to Bubba that he'll get to take credit. Mom is not too terribly pleased with the idea of Abby's first word being Bubba. I think Mama or Dada has a much nicer ring to it but then again, she is my daughter so her first word will probably be some 4 letter word we shouldn't repeat!
Abigail loves to move her feet. Mom is convinced she will be in the marching band!

One of our new summer outfits. Summer wouldn't be complete without a pair of fishy capri's and who could forget the matching fishy sunglasses!!!
Oh so styling!
Mom likes this outfit but every time we wear it someone asks if Abigail is a boy even tho it has ruffles! Guess it must be the colors.
She really does love those feet!
Beautiful BLUE eyes! We are crossing our fingers that she gets to keep them.

Abigail finally got to meet her Great-Grandpa Mauriello.

Grandpa Mauriello and Abby
Our latest trend - sleeping with our feet in the air in another one of our styling summer outfits, which just so happens to be a fishy skirt! Can you see a trend here!?!
