Spring Time!

I can't believe another month has come and gone already! Time certainly does fly. We have been busy as usual around here. We didn't win the Mega Millions, so Matt and I continue to go to work. :-(  Maybe next time!

Matt recently shaved his beard and it was quite the shock to Abigail. She just stared at him for the longest time, trying to determine if it really was daddy or not. It was pretty funny.

It seems like we have a new tooth everyday but in reality the count is up to 12. The molars have broken through and she seemed to do fairly well, and then a few weeks later as they grew in more, we had a few rough nights. But I think the worst is behind us. She can chew most anything accept for really hard stuff. We have even tried our first PB&J. Boy was it a sticky mess. Mom almost regretted it when she gave it to Abby.

Abigail got a new pair of flip flop like sandals and she LOVED the sound they made on the floor when she walked. The video was too cute. Hopefully, I can get to to load, if not its on facebook.

Abigail is learning new things every day. When they say kids are sponges, they aren't kidding! It doesn't take much to teach her something new. Gramma taught her in one day where her belly button is. She has learned to give kisses, which is my favorite thing! I have been waiting for this skill for a while. Even the wet sloppy kisses.... I LOVE them!

We had Easter at our house and we all had lots of fun. Abigail did her first easter egg hunt. She didn't quite get the concept but we got lots of fun pictures. The weather was fantastic!

Speaking of weather, it has been super nice lately. Spring came early and none of us are complaining. Abigail LOVES to go outside. If you ask Jack if he needs to go outside, Abigail RUNS for the door. Literally takes off running, like yes, I do, I do! If you are carrrying her and head for the door to take Jack out she does her little excitement dance in your arms and gets a big grin.

Since we have had such nice weather we have gotten to spend more time outside. Daddy put Abigail's new summer island toy together. She seems to like it so far. I think she is going to really enjoy playing in the pool this year. Plus, we have lots of new fun bathing suits for the summer.

Discipline is becoming a fun time. As I write this, someone is crying because she got in trouble. For the most part Abigail does very well listening, however, lately she has begun to test the waters of her boundaries. She had stopped feeding Jack from her high chair but sadly, has begun to do this again. She has also discovered a love for playing in Jacks water bowl and doesn't quite understand what the problem is. She knows she is not supposed to do it but maybe if Mom and Dad aren't looking, I can get away with it!

Music is by far Abigail's favorite thing. She loves to listen to music. She sleeps with her radio on, when she goes to Grammas house the first thing she does is go over to her swing and turn on the music. When she gets a hold of mom or dad's phone she turns on the music. How she does this we are not sure. She also loves to dance to her music, especially while holding mom or dad's phone. Hopefully, I can get that video to upload as well, again, if not its on facebook.

Abigail is working on talking. She has a few words. She says Jack, mama, dada, socks, shoes, "what's that?" Gramma swears she said computer the other day.....me not so much. She understands practically everything you tell her. We are a little fearful that when she does start talking talking, its going to be complete sentences and nonstop!

You can give Abigail a complete sentence of instructions and she will go and do it. It is amazing how much she does understand. I think Daddy's favorite is "Abigail, is it bedtime?" And Abigail will run over to the steps to go up for bed. You can ask her to bring you your cell phone, her shoes, books etc. and she does. I think Daddy can't wait until he can say "Abigail, go get me a beer!" LOL. Don't think we will be doing that for a loooonnng time!

Mommy signed she and Abigail up for another Mommy group the other day. I am super excited about this one because they do several activities a week! So on Friday we went to the Meadowside Nature Center. We saw a turkey vulture (fun, fun) a bald eagle, a snake being fed some chicks (YUCKO). We also saw a turtle and some fish. Abigail got to play with several kids her age which was fantastic. The nature center has a room perfect for toddlers to play in with lots of toys and puzzles. The kids had a great time. There was only one meltdown, which triggered several meltdowns and it might have started with Abigail :-(  Poor thing, she was playing with another little girl and the mom was quite worried that her daughter would do something to another kid, I guess she thinks she can be rather mean. Everything was going fine but then the girl grabbed abigail's arm, which set off the waterworks. She calmed down pretty quickly but with toddlers its like a chain reaction. So it wasn't long after that that we were packing up and leaving. But all in all it was a great day, the weather was perfect and we can't wait for our next event. I think over the next few weeks we are going to a farm, a park, and another farm. Sadly, we can't make everything with mom's work schedule but we will go as often as we can.
