A week of Firsts!

We are three weeks old today and we are growing by leaps and bounds....or so it seems! We gained our FIRST POUND! We now weigh 6lbs 3 oz. We haven't taken a measurement of length yet but dad just tried to put on one of our premie sleepers and it was very much too small so our legs are growing growing!

We had our FIRST bath...and our Second! I think the second was much more accepted than the first.

We had our FIRST walk outside in our stroller.

We also had our FIRST half day away from mom.

Sadly, we have our first little illness as well. Mom noticed yesterday that our eye was having a little drainage, nothing terrible but by the middle of the night we were nice and goopy! So we got up this morning and headed to the doctor. Mom is a huge fan of our "walk-in" hours at the pediatricians office. As long as we are there by 8:15 the doctor will see her even if we don't have an appointment. I am a big fan!

It was a quiet weekend for the most part. Abigail still loves to sleep but is certainly having many more awake moments! You can tell she is much more alert than just a few days ago.

Nighttime still has its rough moments but we are managing. Feeding is going much better than it was and we are no longer having to supplement with bottled breast milk so that is certainly a step in the right direction.

After our quick appointment mom took her first trip back to work for a half day. Gramma was nice enough to watch Abigail so mom could run in and do payroll. Everything worked out just perfectly.

Today's weather was absolutely beautiful so we couldn't pass up an opportunity to head outside. Dad came home and we went for a nice walk. Jack was pleased he could come along too.

Here are a few pictures from the past week. Abigail is perfecting her smile. Mom enjoys playing with her camera!

  1. She's just gorgeous!!! Jack sure looked happy on that walk too. So glad to hear she's gaining weight not needing any supplements. It just sounds like everyone is in sync now. Keep the photos coming! Love to all.
