Happy 4th of July!!!

Well we missed a week but here we are with a double does of Abigail!

She is weighing in around 10.12 oz. I am anxious to see how much taller she has gotten at our next doctors appointment. I think she has grown quite a bit these past few weeks!!

Abby had her first babysitter last weekend (other than Gramma of course) Uncle Robby. Mommy and Daddy had a wedding to go to so Uncle Robby volunteered for the job. All went well and they both came out of it alive. Uncle Robby had not changed very many diapers...in fact only one the day before the adventure so of course Abby had to give him a hands on lesson in diaper explosion 101. Luckily Uncle Robby managed to get her cleaned up and even in a new outfit! Good job Uncle Robby!!

Abigail has been a busy little bee these past two weeks learning lots of new things. Abby is perfecting her half roll from her back to her side. She is SOOOO close to rolling from her stomach to her back. I know this would be a bit early but I chalk it up to the fact that she doesn't have much to roll over weight wise so its a bit easier for her! She is also enjoying tummy time quite a bit more because she can now support some of her weight on her arms and lift her head up and look around.

This past week she found her feet and LOVES them! She also learned that anything she has in her hand she can most likely get to her mouth!

Grandpa taught her how to blow bubbles/raspberries and she is obsessed. When I took her to work on Friday she was going to town and I was at a loss for where she learned this trick. Grandpa finally fessed up.

It is amazing to watch how much she changes and learns from day to day!

Abby had a day out on the town with Gramma and her friends. They went to lunch, did some shopping and walked around National Harbor. She had a fantastic time.

Mommy and Abby continue to go to Gymboree class and Abby is certainly the star student! Most of the other babies are not happy to be there and they tend to let you know it, but Abby is happy and content and loves to watch the bubbles and play with the parachute!

We have one weekend of rest ahead of us before Aunt Chelsea's wedding. I'm sure we will have tons of pictures to share from that fun weekend event!

We made a trip to the Lake for the 4th of July. Abby had a great time. She took her very first boat ride and did fairly well for the most part. She took a swim with daddy too and seemed to enjoy it. Looks like we will have to get a few more swimming essentials to keep Abby nice and shaded from the sun while out swimming.

My apologies for picture overload! We've had quite a busy 2 weeks and I can't pass up great pictures! They are also not in any order so enjoy the randomness!

Mommy & Daddy got all dressed up and Abby and Uncle Robby stayed home and partied!

Getting much better at tummy time!
Happy 4th of July!! :-)
Abby had several festive outfits she sported this week!

That is my favorite smile!

On our way to the lake mom tried on Abby's sandals.

30 seconds later Abby showed mommy what she thought of those sandals!

Abby is working on her two favorite things....putting her toys in her mouth and reaching for her feet. This time she happens to be working on both at the same time.

She really is amazed that those feet belong to her!

Anything she can get her hands on goes in her mouth....including her hands!

Chilling at mom's office

Abby strutting her stuff in her new life jacket. Surprisingly she did not make a fuss trying it on.

Still relaxing in her life jacket.

This is a worn out Abby after an afternoon on the boat.

Abby's first boat ride. Yes, I know she's not wearing her life jacket but it was right there with us. But she seems to be having a TON of fun.

Abby all ready to go in her bathing suit!

This is not the greatest picture but Dad loves to get Abby standing and he happened to find a location that was the perfect height for her to lean and hold herself up. It didn't last very long.

Abby and Gramma
Abby loves hands, especially everyone else's

Something was extremely funny!

We are hoping we get to keep those beautiful blue eyes!

Chilling on the boat...the center of attention
Abby had her own private fan for the trip

Loving her raspberries!

Abby's first dip in the lake.
She seemed to enjoy it just fine.

While this is extremely cute...mom is not ready for any steps in the direction of walking!

Back at the site Abby takes in a game of corn hole in her new chair

Summer has begun!

10.35 lbs!!! Can we believe we have finally reached double digits! I must say I am excited. Daddy even commented the other day while carrying Abby in her car seat that she was getting heavier!

This past week was so busy I don't even remember much of what we did. I was also slightly delinquent in taking pictures.

This weekend daddy went to Uncle Steve's bachelor party so he was gone for some of the weekend. Mom and Abby survived without him for the most part. Abby was having a rough day on Saturday but she managed to hold it together for Aunt Terri's party. When we got home Jack was pleased to see us and he knew that dad was gone so he stood guard over Abby any time mom left the room. It was pretty cute. He can still be a bit nervous around her but you can tell he actaully likes her.

Abby's favorite thing to do right now is get anything she possibly can in her mouth. Clothes, fist, arm you name it and thats where it goes. Uncle Robby and Ricky keep telling her not to pull up her shirt because its not very lady like. Abby isn't quite listening just yet.

Daddy had his first Father's Day. We actaully went to a movie....with Abby! She did very well and slept about 90% of the time. Mom had to get up and walk with her for the last few minutes of the movie but really she did excellent. I think we will be pushing our luck if we try that again! Dad is getting to order a freezer for his Father's Day gift so he can keep making his beer and build a bar.

This week Abby has really started to lift her head up much more when on her stomach. She is working on her "push ups" and doing a fantastic job. Tummy time is still not our favorite thing but she is handling it very well. If her head was just a bit more porportionate to the rest of her body she would be on the move for sure. She loves to push off on things with her feet and her legs are constantly going. When she sits in one of her many seats her feet are moving moving moving. I keep asking her if she's trying out for the marching band because she never stops!

Abby and Mommy are still going to Gymboree class. Abby was the super star last week. Each of the other babies were not too pleased to be there and cried for a good part of class. Abby is perfectly content and happy during class. Let's hope she keeps it up!

Abby loves to stand up these days. Sitting is okay but standing seems to be a favorite.

Abby & Daddy on Father's Day
Abby loves to play on her activity mat. Keeps her entertained for quite a while.

Daddy and his princess!

Jack standing guard.
Abby doesn't look terribly pleased with mommy taking her picture.

Abby tends to be a morning sleeper so after she gets dressed
she ususally dozes back off pretty quickly.

Hopefully nothing bad happens at gramma's!
